A lone HooDoo in the Paria Wilderness area of Utah, with colorful Chinle Clay in the Butte behind it.HooDoos are formed by the weather wearing away the soft soil around the hard rock cap of the HooDoo. The Indians named them HooDoos thinking they were spirits of some kind.
